The rest of the top 10 finished at a combined 25 over. Dustin Johnson (+3), Rory McIlroy (+6) and Jason Day (+7) will have an uphill climb in Round 2. The first 18 holes treated other golfers fairly well. There were 44 players under par, a U.S. Open record. Players can expect the course to play tougher after low scores Thursday
